Perhaps no other Caribbean nation celebrates its pirate legends and cultural heritage quite like the Cayman Islands, which erupts into a festival of spectacle and pageantry during our annual Pirates Fest.

Pirates Fest 2022 kicks off in Grand Cayman on 14th October with a District Heritage Day followed by three more during October. Little Cayman festivities kick off on Friday 4th – 6th November, move on to the George Town, Grand Cayman from Saturday 12th – Saturday 19th November and finally close out on Cayman Brac from Friday 25th – Sunday 27th November.

Festival goers will also enjoy a series of party nights, costume contests, cultural and heritage competitions, music and much more, stretching across all three islands.
This year we are embarking on an seven-week journey of celebrating the uniqueness of each district, while learning how pirates, buccaneers, corsairs and privateers shaped our islands, the region and our maritime heritage. The islands will come alive with delicious food, crafts and fun that create an inclusive atmosphere for families and individuals: locals, residents and tourists, young and old.

The “Pirates Week” of the Pirates Fest, held in Grand Cayman, starts with a fantastic happy hour, kick-off party and Steelpan Competition on Thursday 11th November and on Friday night, the festival goes off with a bang at the spectacular fireworks display over Seafarer’s Way and to the beat of the very best live music emanating from the main stage. The entire weekend is packed with activities for all ages including the Pirates Landing, Float parade, Cardboard Boat Regatta, flotilla, and competitions. There’s no better place to be in the Caribbean.

Whether you are visiting Little Cayman, Cayman Brac or Grand Cayman for their individual Pirates Week celebrations, you are sure to have fun!
